Exeunt is a leading publication for independent, inventive, long-form writing about theatre.
Since being established in 2011, the digital magazine has attracted a loyal following among audiences and industry professionals – and now attracts around 24,000 monthly readers. They are thoughtful, creative, and passionate about theatre, and include some of the most influential people working in the industry today, from artistic directors, producers and programmers to critics, agents, and PRs – as well as an audience of dedicated and invested theatre fans.

Advertising with Exeunt is different to other websites. We don’t use irritating pop-ups or run adverts next to empty clickbait. We’ll only feature work and venues are relevant to our readership’s interests. And our elegant format gives you the chance to get your message heard by readers who you can guarantee are actively keen to hear more about new theatre!

Exeunt publishes two pieces a week: one on a Tuesday, free for everyone to read, and one on a Friday, sent to everyone but partially paywalled for paid subscribers.

So, how does it work?

We currently offer two tiers of advertising, at two price points: a simple banner ad, or a larger ‘sponsor’ slot styled in line with Exeunt’s articles for a higher degree of engagement.

Banner advert

You provide us with a simple banner advert, and we’ll run it at the top of an Exeunt post. A banner should be 1100 x 220 pixels. A banner ad costs just £50 per post.

Sponsor a post

A larger offering, that allows you to really tell your story to Exeunt’s readers. Sponsorship costs £150 per post, and we guarantee everyone who sponsors us five things:

1. You’ll be at the top. Your slot will be one of the first things our readers see – and you’ll never be behind a paywall
2. A proper picture. We’ll use your best photograph — helping you catch people’s attention with a great image (landscape image, 1200 x 630 pixels)
3. Compelling text. Exeunt will work with you to craft a paragraph of text, ensuring it feels like an integrated part of our article, to help drive click-through to links
4. Straight to inboxes. While our stories can be read online, the majority access them via e-mail – offering a more personal kind of engagement
5. Positive brand association. We’ve grown our committed readership by consistently producing well-researched, fair-minded, intelligent, fun, and creative journalism. Sponsorship with us helps make you look good!
